COACHING SERVICES & CERTIFICATIONS
Are you tried of not showing up to work as your best self?
Have you become the boss you hated?
Are you unsure what lies next for you in your career as a leader?
Have you lost your passion for the job and don't know why you get out of bed every day?
Maybe a recent promotion has left you feeling lost at a job you thought you’d mastered. Consider this article from the Harvard Business Review on the challenges facing new CEOs: disconnection, office politics, unfamiliar responsibilities, embarrassing gaps in expertise. Maybe you feel so stuck at your current position that your avenues for advancement seem to have closed. Or perhaps something critical is out of joint in your work-life balance.
I have been an executive in some of the most demanding roles in military and civilian life. My responsibility as your coach is to help you focus on identifying what you want to achieve, whether it be personal or professional, then to map out the steps you need to take in pursuit of your dream. This includes focusing on personal accountability, integrity, communication and achievement. Since no client is alike, I will develop your program around your organizational and/or individual needs:
Navigating Office Dynamics
Work, Life and Family Balance
Along with my book The Best Investment Is Within One's Self, I use the Energy Leadership Index (E.L.I.). The E.L.I. is a one-of-a-kind assessment that enables leaders to hold up a mirror to their perceptions, attitudes, behaviors and overall leadership capabilities. The E.L.I. forms the initial launching point for the Energy Leadership Development System, giving you a baseline for your current performance and situation. Whether you proceed through the full system or not, the realizations that you’ll gain from the Energy Leadership assessment and debrief process alone will change the way you view your world.
I am also a Certified TotalSDI Facilitator. TSDI Facilitators “provide a link between leadership and organizational performance. Research suggests that relationships, while often considered a ‘soft’ skill, actually play a direct role in organizational and team performance. Conflict impacts leaders, teams and individuals, and frequently is the underlying cause of the typical issues that arise in today’s work environments. Studies show that more than 65 percent of performance issues result from strained relationships—up, down and across the organization. It is not the lack of knowledge, skills, or motivation, but the mismanagement of relationships that creates the greatest cost to organizations.” Together we will assess how you interact with your colleagues so you can identify and resolve issues before they arise, creating a better work environment for all.
I am also a certified Leadership Agility® 360 Coach which assesses the “new mindsets and skill-sets” needed to make wise decisions and take effective action amid complex and rapidly changing conditions. It is based on the groundbreaking research by Bill Joiner and Stephen Josephs in the book Leadership Agility, (Jossey-Bass, 2007). Click here for information on how coaching services work.
